Abstract

This paper treats identification of 21 lichen species mostly corticolous belong to 14 genera of seven families and three other genera distributed in Torghabeh region belongs to Torghabeh Shandiz town (Razavi Khorasan province) by planning an identification key in Persian. Identification of the species belongs to Lecanoraceae, Physciaceae, Ramalinaceae and Teloschistaceae which are mentioned in this key, are completely described. This working key is a compilation, not a critical review. Its purpose is gathering in one place a summary of fragmented data collected of 40 localities in the 17 villages in the area. There are certainly some limitations from the taxonomical point of view in the key. These taxa are fertile and usually occur on bark except Diplotomma hedinii (H. Magn.) P. Clerc & C. Roux which is common on rock. All the species have been recorded in the past and/ or recent Iran’s data. A glossary and color illustrations are provided for the treated taxa.
