Due to the high similarities and wide variation of the morphological characters, identification of these species is very difficult. In this study the Thymus genus were grouping according to the morphological characteristics and theire species were grouping according to the diagnostic characters.We chose 33 morphological ( vegetative and generative) characters for 88 samples of 14 species. Analysis of variance between groups showed that the characteristics had significant differences (about 1%). The groups comparison showed that the morphological characteristics of this species, are efficient for distinguish them. So the Thymus persicus species were separated of other species according to the wide leaves character, also the T. trautvetteri trait were separated according to the stem cross-section from the other species. Specie of T. kotchyanus the length of peduncle and T. migricus the length of calyx were distinct from other species. Comparison of mean density of the trichome between, T. trautvetteri and T. persicus also be separated them from other species. جنس آویشن بر اساس فلور ایرانیکا در ایران دارای 14 گونه است ولی در حال حاضر 18 گونه از این جنس در ایران معرفی شده است. شناسایی و تفکیک گونه‌های این جنس به علت شباهت ظاهری آن‌ها از لحاظ صفات مورفولوژیک کار دشواری است. هدف از این تحقیق گروه‌بندی ژنوتیپ ها از لحاظ صفات مورفولوژیک و تشخیص گونه‌های این جنس بر اساس صفات تشخیصی است. بدین منظور 33 صفت مورفولوژیک مربوط به اجزای رویشی و زایشی روی 88 نمونه متعلق به 14 گونه مطالعه شد. نتایج حاصل از تجزیه واریانس بین گروه ها نشان داد که صفات در سطح احتمال 1% تفاوت معنی‌داری را در بین گروه‌ها دارا بودند سپس مقایسه میانگین بین گروه‌ها نشان داد که ویژگی‌های ریخت شناسی تا حد قابل قبولی برای تمایز میان این گونه‌ها مفید است به طوری‌که گونه Thymus persicus از لحاظ صفت عرض برگ از سایر گونه‌ها جدا شد. همچنین گونه T. trautvetteri از لحاظ صفت سطح مقطع ساقه از سایر گونه‌ها جدا شد. گونه T. kotchyanus از لحاظ صفت طول دمگل و گونه T. migricus از لحاظ صفت طول کاسه از سایر گونه‌ها قابل تفکیک بودند.مقایسه میانگین صفت تراکم کرک دو گونه T. persicusو T. trautvetteri را نیز از سایر گونه‌ها جدا کرد. کلید شناسایی هم برای گونه ها ارائه شد. https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_1040_537d9b6c927223c796cac288cced29df.pdf
