In order to investigate the effect of selenium on some morphological, physiological and quantitative and quality of lemon essential oil, an experiment was conducted with 5 treatments and 3 replications in hydroponic culture system. Selenium in form of sodium selenate was applied either in nutrient solution or by foliar spraying at levels (0, 2.0, 5.0, 10.0 and 15µM). The results showed that selenium treatment significantly increased leaf dry weight, leaf area and total chlorophyll content in both application methods compared to the control. Application of 5 µM Se in nutrient solution and of 10µM Se by foliar spraying successfully enhanced total phenolic compounds and DPPH free radical scavenging in leaves. The lowest amount of malondialdehyde by foliar application (13.4) and addition to nutrient solution (10.7) was observed in 10 and 5 ?M treatments, respectively. Also, this element increased the amount of essential oil in the treatment levels of 5 ?M nutrient solution and 10 ?M foliar application by 94.92 and 100%, respectively, compared to the control treatment. The survey of essential oil components showed that the highest amount of oxygenated monoterpenes, especially citral (48.3%) was measured from foliar samples with a concentration of 10 ?M selenium. In fact, the results of this study showed that the selenium in low concentrations (5-10 ?M) had improving effects on growth, physiological and quantity and quality of essential oils of Lemon verbena.}, keywords = {Antioxidant activity,essential oil,Lemon verbena,Phenolic compounds,Selenium}, title_fa = {تاثیر غلظت و نوع کاربرد سلنیوم بر کمیت و کیفیت اسانس به لیمو (Lippia citriodora L.)}, abstract_fa = {سلنیوم عنصری سودمند با خواص آنتی اکسیدانی است که باعث افزایش رشد گیاهان می‌شود. به منظور بررسی اثر سلنیوم بر برخی صفات فیزیولوژیکی و کمیت و کیفیت اسانس برگ‌های به لیمو، آزمایشی در محیط کشت هیدروپونیک با 5 تیمار و 3 تکرار انجام شد. در این مطالعه، سلنیوم به صورت سلنات سدیم و به دو شکل محلول‌پاشی برگی و استفاده در محلول غذایی با غلظت‌های 0، 2، 5، 10 و 15 میکرومولار مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد که افزودن سلنیوم به طور معنی‌داری باعث افزایش وزن خشک برگ، سطح برگ و میزان کلروفیل کل در هر دو روش کاربرد نسبت به شاهد شد. کاربرد 5 میکرومولار سلنیوم در محلول غذایی و 10 میکرومولار به صورت محلولپاشی برگی باعث افزایش فنل کل و افزایش مهار رادیکال آزاد DPPH گیاه شد. کمترین میزان مالون دی آلدئید در روش محلول‌پاشی (4/13) و افزودن به محلول غذایی (7/10) به ترتیب در تیمارهای 10 و 5 میکرومولار مشاهده شد. همچنین این عنصر در سطوح تیمار 5 میکرومولار محلول غذایی و 10 میکرومولار محلول‌پاشی برگی به ترتیب باعث افزایش 92/94 و 100 درصدی میزان اسانس نسبت به تیمار شاهد شد. بررسی اجزای اساس نشان داد که بیشترین میزان مونوترپن های اکسیژن دار به خصوص سیترال (3/48)، در اسانس نمونه‌های محلول‌پاشی شده با غلظت 10 میکرومولار سلنیوم وجود داشت. در واقع نتایج نشان داد که عنصر سلنیوم در غلظت‌های کم (5-10 میکرومولار) اثرات بهبوددهنده‌ای بر شاخص‌های رشدی و کمیت و کیفیت اسانس به لیمو دارد.}, keywords_fa = {اسانس,به لیمو,ترکیبات فنلی,فعالیت آنتی اکسیدانی,سلنیوم}, url = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_2003.html}, eprint = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_2003_3907b77d2a23cf45fbe10d3a058d990f.pdf} }
