Salt stress, by affecting the osmotic potential of the soil around the root, cause toxicity to plants, which lead to reduced growth, declined productivity, and impaired nutrient uptake. The Myrtus communis L. is an ornamental-medicinal shrub that is of particular importance due to its useful aromatic compounds, its uses in traditional medicine, and applications in natural ecosystem restoration and soil erosion projects. Few studies have been conducted on the physiological responses and resistance of myrtle to abiotic stresses and the limited available results make it difficult to generalize to all populations. In the present study, we attempted to investigate the regeneration and growth rate of myrtle shoots over different salinity levels (0, 100, 150, and 250 mM NaCl) under in-vitro culture condition. Additionally, some other physiological responses such as pigment content, relative water content (RWC), cell membrane stability, leaf proline content, amount of reactive oxygen species, biochemical parameters, and activity of some antioxidant enzymes, were also evaluated. The results showed that the salinities at moderate and severe levels (150 and 250 mM NaCl, respectively) significantly effected in-vitro growth and regeneration, membrane stability, carbohydrate and protein contents as well as leaf chlorosis and necrosis. The results also showed that RWC chlorophyll content, and resistance index were only affected at high salinity level, while lipid and proline content, the activity of antioxidant enzymes, and ROS levels were relatively affected at all salinity levels.}, keywords = {Myrtus communis L,salinity stress,In vitro,ROS,FTIR}, title_fa = {پاسخ شاخساره‌های باززایی شده مورد معطر (Myrtus communis L.) به شوری در شرایط کشت درون شیشه}, abstract_fa = {شوری یکی از مهمترین محدودیت‌های پیش روی رشد و پراکنش گیاهان خشکی است. این تنش با تحت تأثیر قرار دادن پتانسیل اسمزی محیط اطراف ریشه ضمن ایجاد سمیت برای گیاه، به کاهش رشد، تولید محصول و اختلال در جذب عناصر غذایی می‌انجامد. مورد معطر (Myrtus communis L.) درختچه ای زینتی- دارویی است که به سبب دارا بودن ترکیبات آروماتیک مفید، استفاده در طب سنتی و استفاده در پروژه‌های مرمت اکوسیستم‌های طبیعی و فرسایش خاک از اهمیت ویژه ای برخوردار است. مطالعات محدودی در خصوص پاسخ‌های فیزیولوژی و مقاومتی این گیاه به تنش انجام پذیرفته که نتایج محدود موجود، تعمیم آن را روی تمامی جمعیت‌ها دشوار می‌سازد. در این تحقیق تلاش شد تا ضمن بررسی میزان باززایی و کمیت رشد گیاهچه‌های مورد معطر در شرایط کشت درون‌شیشه تحت 4 سطح شوری (0، 100، 150 و 250 میلی مولار NaCl)‌، برخی پاسخ‌های فیزیولوژی گیاه نظیر تغییرات محتوای رنگیزه‌ای و RWC، پایداری غشاهای سلولی، محتوای پرولین برگ، مقدار رادیکال‌های فعال اکسیژن، پارامترهای بیوشیمیایی و فعالیت برخی آنزیم‌های آنتی‌اکسیدانی مورد سنجش و ارزیابی قرار گیرد. نتایج مؤید آن بود که سطوح متوسط و شدید شوری (به ترتیب 150 و 250 میلی مولار NaCl) تاثیرات قابل ملاحظه-ای بر پارامترهای رشد و نموی، پایداری غشاء، میزان کربوهیدرات و آمیدها و نیز میزان کلروز و نکروز برگ داشته است. نتایج همچنین نشان داد که RWC، میزان کلروفیل و درصد شاخص مقاومت تنها در شوری شدید و میزان لیپید و پرولین، فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی‌اکسیدان و میزان ROS، در همه سطوح شوری تحت تأثیر قرار گرفتند.}, keywords_fa = {Myrtus communis L,salinity stress,In vitro,ROS,FTIR}, url = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_1937.html}, eprint = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_1937_6249bed353bc9b4bab17f5fb5793c62a.pdf} }
