In this study, it was investigated the effect of salinity on leaf area, shoot length, root length, activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), polyphenol oxidase (PPO), catalase (CAT), and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) in pennyroyal species. Seeds were sown in Tref peat in greenhouse conditions with 16 h light/ 8 h dark period per 24 h and day/ night temperatures of 25/ 18 ˚C. Then, 60 days seedlings transferred to pots containing perlite and grew in hoagland solution with different concentrations of 0, 25, 50, and 75 mM NaCl. Seedlings were harvested for physiological and biochemical analyzes, after four different harvest times (10, 20, 30, and 40 days). The results showed that leaf area and shoot length decreased with increasing salinity levels, whereas root length increased to 50 mM NaCl and then decreased. Delay in harvest time caused more decrease in leaf area and shoot length. With increasing NaCl, activity of all the enzymes significantly increased at four harvest times. Activities of SOD, PPO, and APX were higher in root than that of leaf and shoot, whereas CAT activity was higher in leaf. On the basis of the obtained data, it can be concluded that pennyroyal reduced negative effects of salinity stress with increasing activities of antioxidant enzymes in leaf, shoot, and root. Antioxidative response of M pulegium has a direct relationship to salt stress time duration.}, keywords = {Pennyroyal,Salinity,Antioxidant enzymes,Organ,Harvest time}, title_fa = {مقایسه تاثیر تنش شوری بر رشد و پاسخ های آنتی اکسیدانی در اندام های مختلف گیاه پونه معطر (Mentha pulegium L.)}, abstract_fa = {پونه معطر (Mentha pulegium L.) گیاهی دارویی، متعلق به تیره نعناعیان است. در پژوهش حاضر، تاثیر تنش شوری بر سطح برگ، طول ساقه، طول ریشه و فعالیت آنزیم‌های SOD، POD، PPO، CAT و APX مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. بذرها در پیت کشت شدند و در شرایط گل‌خانه ای 16 ساعت روشنایی/ 8 ساعت تاریکی، دمای روزانه/ شبانه (25/ 18 درجه سانتیگراد) قرار گرفتند، گیاهک‌های 60 روزه به گلدان‌های حاوی پرلیت منتقل شده و در محلول هوگلند با غلظت‌های مختلف شوری 0، 25، 50 و 75میلی مولار NaClرشد نمودند. گیاهچه‌ها طی 5 زمان برداشت مختلف (0 ،10 ، 20، 30 و 40 روز) برای آنالیزهای فیزیولوژیکی و بیوشیمیایی برداشت شدند. نتایج نشان داد که با افزایش سطح شوری طول ساقه و سطح برگ کاهش یافت، در حالیکه طول ریشه تا غلظت 50 میلی مولار به طور معنی داری افزایش و سپس کاهش یافت (05/0  P). تاخیر در زمان برداشت منجر به کاهش بیشتر سطح برگ و طول ساقه شد. با افزایش سطح شوری فعالیت همه آنزیم‌های آنتی اکسیدان در همه برداشت ها افزایش معنی‌داری را نسبت به شاهد نشان داد (05/0  P). فعالیت آنزیم های SOD، PPO و APX در ریشه بیشتر از سایر اندام‌ها بود، در حالیکه فعالیت CAT در برگ بیشتر از ساقه و ریشه بود. به نظر می‌رسد پونه معطر با افزایش فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی‌اکسیدان در ریشه، ساقه و برگ، اثرات منفی تنش شوری را کاهش می دهد و پاسخ آنتی‌اکسیدانی این گیاه به تنش شوری رابطه مستقیم با مدت زمان تنش دارد.}, keywords_fa = {پونه معطر,شوری,آنزیم های آنتی اکسیدان,اندام,زمان برداشت}, url = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_755.html}, eprint = {https://plant.ijbio.ir/article_755_3beb4bf7bfe16f84929ca58097553811.pdf} }
